"Our Mission is to create solutions and provide resources for the homeless across Canada. Our aim is to rebuild their minds and inspire them to follow their dreams by helping them find employment in the industry of their choice. We believe together as a community support system we can create "Heroes" in the process and help save people from a life time on the street."

In 2014, Heroes In Black, alongside Hero Certified Burgers, launched an initiative called Hunger Heroes. Heroes In Black, alongside dozens of volunteers, walk the streets of Toronto to feed and clothe people in need. Since 2014, Heroes In Black has fed and clothed 3,000+ people in need in Toronto's downtown core while collecting a staggering 9 tons of clothing donations from their supporters for local youth shelters. Rain or shine, the Hunger Heroes March happens on the 3rd Sunday of every month. This all-ages, family-friendly event is open to the general public. If you've been looking for a way to give back to your community while connecting directly with those who are in need, then this is the event for you. Join us, Toronto, in the fight against hunger! #CallingAllHeroes

With the aim to inspire homeless and at-risk youth, Heroes In Black developed Hero Camp. Throughout the summer, Hero Camp hosts dozens of youths from local shelters and gives them a weekend out of the City and away from their daily struggles, allowing them a weekend get away and enjoy life in nature. Hero Camp invigorates their bodies, minds and souls - exposing them to activities that they may have never had the opportunity to enjoy as well as inspirational and educational sessions.

2015 was the first year for Holiday Heroes. During this inaugural event, a community who started Christmas morning as strangers became new friends and extended family by the end of the day. Holiday Heroes is an event where people who come to give, actually receive more than they imagine, and people who are receiving, give more than they even know is in them to give. Those who volunteered for the first Hunger Heroes witnessed miracles come true.. More than 1,400 brand new wrapped gifts were handed out on the street and also in family shelters. Literally hundreds of families were exposed to a Holiday warmth they had never known before Holiday Heroes. Become the magic of this Holiday Season and join us for a morning your whole family will never forget.

Something as simple as a haircut can change one's perspective. Heroes In Black created Haircut Heroes to give free haircuts to those living in shelters and on the street. After their haircut, some are grateful because a haircut was the one thing stopping them from going on a job interview. Some are grateful because a new haircut boosts their confidence and morale. Some are just grateful that someone cared enough to offer their time to give them a new outlook on life. Haircut Heroes happens every month along with a team of professional hairdressers, barbers, makeup artists and photographers - all with the goal of bringing smiles to faces of those needing a new look and new outlook on life.
